Ava Hartman & Impression Finish a Busy Indoor Season

Ava Hartman & Impression Jumping the Lights at the 2022 NHS Hamel Medal Final

Lexington, KY – October 30, 2022 – Ava Hartman and Impression (Poe) finished up their first indoors circuit — Capital Challenge, Pennsylvania National Horse Show, National Horse Show — all smiles. The duo competed in the Large Junior Hunter 15 & Under Division at Capital Challenge and Harrisburg with consistent scores in the 80s. Then, they switched over and focused on equitation at the National Horse Show (NHS), competing in the Under 14 Equitation Division and 2022 Hamel Medal Final. Poe is a hunter horse through and through, but he did a great job of navigating the incredibly difficult Hamel course.

“It seems like the last month has been a whirlwind of plane rides and indoor arenas, but we had a blast.” said 13 year old Ava Hartman after the Hamel Medal Final. “Poe held his own in the Junior Hunters in Maryland and Harrisburg and then did a great job as an equitation horse in Kentucky. We were both seeing these amazing venues for the first time and I was happy that neither of us let our nerves get to us. I was super happy with our Hamel round and was glad that we made the first two standby lists [they got bumped out of the call back when the 3rd list was published].”
